The 10 Best Music Videos From Canadian Artists to Celebrate Canada Day

Today is Canada Day and to celebrate we are bringing you our top-ten favourite videos from world famous Canadian artists. Our list includes the likes of Shawn Mendes, Shania Twain, Drake, and many more.

We hope you enjoy watching these music videos as much as we do;

1: ‘The Woman In Me’ – Shania Twain

This track isn’t Twain’s biggest hit but the classically beautiful video is breathtaking. The clip was shot in Egypt and Shania looks more stunning than ever. The song is also gorgeous and is one of Shania Twain’s best vocal displays to date.

2: ‘Aftertaste’ – Shawn Mendes

This simple video sees Shawn Mendes walking around town as the story follows him and his ex-girlfriend. It’s beautifully shot and ‘Aftertaste’ is one of Mendes’ best releases so far.

3: ‘Sk8er Boi’ – Avril Lavigne

Back in the early 00’s you couldn’t switch on a music channel without seeing Lavigne’s ‘Sk8er Boi’ video. It’s fun, playful, and the ultimate tomboy clip.

4: ‘What Do You Mean?’ – Justin Bieber

This gritty, sexy clip is a standout from Bieber. It shows a different side to him and showcases his acting ability. It’s shot in a cinematic way for added drama.

5: ‘Hotline Bling’ – Drake

This video from Drake sees the Canadian dancing, and for that alone it is our favourite video from the rapper. It’s also colourful and different.

6: ‘My Heart Will Go On’ – Celine Dion

No list featuring Canadian artists in celebration of Canada Day would be complete with this stunning video from Celine Dion. The Titanic classic is at number six in our top-ten countdown.

7: ‘Hollywood’ – Michael Buble

This super fun clip gives us a glimpse of Buble’s cheekier side. During the video he even dresses up as Justin Bieber. It’s great fun and is a fantastic video that fits well with the song’s subject.

8: ‘Call Me Maybe’ – Carly Rae Jepsen

Seriously who doesn’t love this video and song? The clip is so well thought out and the reveal at the end is brilliant. We just love this fun music video.

9: ‘I’m Like A Bird’ – Nelly Furtado

This video has such a great concept and is shot so well. It’s really unique and we think it’s awesome. And has anyone else notice how much Nelly looks like Courtney Cox?

10: ‘Don’t Be Stupid (You Know I Love You)’ – Shania Twain

Yes, we know we’ve already included Shania on this list but we couldn’t celebrate Canada Day without including this clip. It’s not everyday you see a Canadian superstar river dancing while being surrounded by violinists.

Happy Canada Day! We hope you enjoyed the videos from Canadian artists. Which clip is your favourite? Let us know over on Twitter @CelebMix.
