If you’re a YouTube addict, then chances are you’ve already come across Alex Aiono. With over four million subscribers and 422,445,740 views on his videos, Alex has gained incredible support thanks to his slick covers. The singer is known for putting his own spin on popular tracks, such as Ed Sheeran’s ‘Shape of You’ / Shawn Mendes’ ‘Mercy’, making us fall in love with his golden vocals at the same time.
Whilst we love Alex’s covers, over the years he’s also shared some original music which we’ve loved. Having signed to Interscope Records, today he officially dropped his debut single ‘Work The Middle’.
It’s safe to say that ‘Work The Middle’ totally lives up to our expectations. Produced by Axident (Jason Derulo, Justin Bieber) and Dernst “D’Mile” Emile II (Ty Dolla $ign, Trey Songz), ‘Work The Middle’ is a bop, complete with an infectious beat and Alex’s irresistible vocal.
Take a listen below.
2017 looks set to be an incredible year for Alex. He currently hosts two Radio Disney shows and will co-host the 2017 Radio Disney Music Awards. He has starred in the online YouTube series Royal Crush and is nominated for an iHeart Radio Music Award for 2017 Social Star.
Following on from the release of ‘Work The Middle’, he will also kick off a North American co-headline tour with Australia-based singer/songwriter/producer William Singe next month.
