Gavin has some amazing songs including ‘Soldier’, ‘Not Over You’ and ‘Chariot’. However, his most memorable song has to be his very first ‘I Don’t Want To Be’ from back in 2003. Used as the theme tune for ‘One Tree Hill’ the song has become a classic.

What else should I know about Gavin DeGraw?

Gavin Shane Degraw is a singer-songwriter who grew up in South Fallsburg, New York. Growing up, he was surrounded by music and learned to play the piano when he was just eight years old. Gavin’s older brother Joey is also a musician and the two brothers both played in a group called The People’s Band in their teenage years.

Gavin rose to fame with the release of his debut single “I Don’t Wanna Be” back in 2003. The song went on to become the theme tune for new drama series at the time One Tree Hill, catapulting the song into the charts. Over the years, Gavin made appearances on seasons one, two, five and nine of One Tree Hill becoming one of the most featured guest musicians in the show’s history. Gavin’s debut album Chariot was also released in 2003 and has since been certified platinum.

Since this Gavin has gone on to release five more studio albums – Gavin Degraw, Free, Sweeter, Make a Move and his latest release Something Worth Saving. He has also released many singles including “In Love with a Girl”, “Best I Ever Had” and “Make A Move”.

As well as this, Gavin took part in the fourteenth season of Dancing With The Stars. Alongside professional partner Karina Smirnoff he made it to week five finishing the competition in ninth place.
