Aston Merrygold has unveiled the music video for his latest single, ‘Too Late’.
In our recent interview with the former JLS star, he revealed that the video would be “stripped back, raw, different again to the other videos I’ve done.” The video is far more emotionally charged than his previous offerings, ‘Get Stupid’ and ‘I Ain’t Missing You’, but is very fitting for the powerful ballad.
Whilst Aston’s previous tracks were up-tempo and featured big routines, he still manages to squeeze in a few slick contemporary moves during the ‘Too Late’ video.
Speaking of the track, Aston said: “‘Too Late’ is about our own experiences, falling and getting back on track. The song is quite an emotional one. It’s about perspective. I’ve been on a journey, and everyone in life has ups and downs. How we rise from our falls is not always straight forward.
“‘Too Late’ is about reminding people that whatever you’ve been through in the past, it’s too late to change it so don’t waste time. Change the future by being in the present. Think about where you are going, what you really need to move forward before you jump. It’s not always about the fast track.”
Aston has spent 2016 on the road, touring the UK with Jason Derulo as well as performing all over the globe. He featured on Throttle and LunchMoney Lewis’ track ‘Money Maker’, and has also been working hard in the studio, preparing for his anticipated debut album.
After hearing three very different tracks from Aston Merrygold, we’re more than excited to see and hear what he delivers in 2017. With the promise of more new music, collabs and shows, we’ve got a feeling that it just might be Aston’s year.
