By stripping back one of this year’s hottest club anthems, Ben Haenow and his brother Alex have once again proven their ability to take a song and make it their own!
Much to fans’ delight, the talented duo have uploaded an incredible acoustic rendition of ‘Solo Dance‘ by Martin Jensen. The cover premiered online yesterday and it has already received a fantastic response. It’s also made us want to dance, dance, dance!
If you listen carefully, you’ll also notice that Ben and Alex mashed Martin’s track up with another huge hit. Approximately two minutes and ten seconds in, the pair perform a snippet of ‘Get Lucky‘ by Daft Punk, Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers.
Sharing his new cover on Facebook, Ben Haenow said: “Hey all xxx hope your week is going well?? Here’s a little cover from me and my bro xx love youuu”
‘Solo Dance’ by Martin Jensen is available here on iTunes. After 16 weeks in the UK chart, the catchy tune is still riding high at number 10 and we’re not at all surprised.
Over the years, Ben and Alex have put their own spin on a diverse selection of tracks including: ‘Rather Be‘ by Clean Bandit and ‘Say You’ll Be There‘ by the Spice Girls.
The pair have also recorded a guitar-driven cover of ‘Ain’t No Sunshine‘ by Bill Withers which will feature on Ben’s forthcoming ‘Alive’ EP. The EP, which will also include four original songs, is set for official release very soon. More details will follow shortly.
In the meantime, make sure you check out our exclusive interviews with Ben and Alex Haenow here and here. We caught up with the guys during their UK tour in March.
