Ben Haenow rocks the stage in edgy new ‘Alive’ music video

Ben Haenow premieres 'Alive' video 1

Rock on! Ben Haenow has unveiled the official video for his uplifting new single ‘Alive’ and it gives fans a glimpse of what they can expect at his live shows!

The slick visuals, which premiered online on Friday, are performance-based and they were filmed at Fu Manchu in London. We were lucky enough to be at the video shoot and we can confirm that everyone in attendance was captivated all night long.

In the ‘Alive’ video, Ben is joined on stage by his talented band. Alex Haenow rocks out on the guitar, Tommy Sugar proves he’s a fantastic drummer and Daf Evan works his magic on the keys. All four guys certainly know how to entertain a crowd.

Last month, Ben Haenow explained the concept for his new single. He said: “My inspiration for ‘Alive’ was and is the fans. I had the idea for the song towards the end of the first tour which was after the drop from Syco. I had doubts about carrying on, and it was really the support of the fans that kept me going and kept my dream alive.

“I owe it all to them and wanted to write almost a thank you song. Going out on stage night after night on that tour and having people singing along and going crazy at the shows is an incredible feeling. It gave me my confidence back after parting ways with a major label. #PeoplePower

‘Alive’ is currently available here on iTunes and here on Spotify. The heartfelt anthem is easily one of our favourite songs of the year so far; we can’t get enough of Ben’s phenomenal rock-infused vocals. It’s the first single to be lifted from the Croydon-born singer’s forthcoming five-track EP which is set for release later this year.

Ben, Alex, Daf and Tommy will be embarking on another UK tour this December. ‘Alive’ will, of course, be on the setlist and everyone who buys a ticket is sure to have fun so make sure you don’t miss out. For more details about the tour, click here.

When I’m not writing articles or travelling through time and space in the Tardis, I love singing along to Avril Lavigne and other pop/rock music. I also enjoy hunting demons with Sam and Dean Winchester! Twitter: @MarkWillis1993
