The 2017 British Soap Awards took place last night (June 3rd) at the Lowry in Salford.
Emmerdale were the winners of the night. They took home a total of five awards, including the coveted “Best British Soap” award for the second year running. As well as this, Coronation Street and Hollyoaks also performed well winning four and three awards respectively. In contrast to this, Eastenders (who in the past have won an array of awards) only managed to pick up one. This was matched by Doctors who also brought home one award.
