After allegations regarding Brooks Way singer Josh Brooks, about him allegedly assaulting his ex girlfriend (Josh denies the allegations) the band were removed from the X Factor house and axed from performing on the first live show.
And now the singing competition have confirmed that the group who were mentored by Louis Walsh have now left the show permanently by mutual consent after an internal investigation from ITV.
Josh Brooks has released a statement following the news of Brooks Way’s departure from X Factor, saying: “Due to events in my personal life I’ve decided that it’s best not to be on the show at this time. While not everything that has been claimed is true I would like to apologise to everyone involved.”
An official X Factor spokesman also confirmed the news of Brooks Way’s axing, saying: “Following the allegations relating to Josh Brooks, we have decided by mutual consent that Brooks Way should leave the competition.”
A new act will now be drafted in to replace Brooks Way in Louis Walsh’s group category.
Bands, 4 Of Diamonds, Skarl3t, Tom & Laura, and Yes Lads, are now all in line for a place in the live shows as a replacement for the axed duo.
