On July 20, the internet exploded over the possibility of a My Chemical Romance reunion. The band changed their logo on all social media accounts and released a video. The video contained the opening keys of, “Welcome To The Black Parade.” In the end, a date appeared, “9/23/16.”
Unfortunately, the band posted a tweet that confirmed that there will not be a reunion or a tour.

However, the band still plans to celebrate their 10-year-anniversary of their album, The Black Parade, on September 23, 2016. According to Entertainment Weekly, there will be a re-release of the album which will include unreleased demos. Fans can also order a brand-new T-shirt off of the MCR website, which contains the new band logo.
A reunion does seem unlikely, especially because all formers members of MCR are currently working on their own individual projects. Frank Iero is releasing his album, Nothing Above, Nothing Below, on July 29, with the band, Death Spells. He will also be touring with Death Spells throughout the month of August. Mikey Way is with his band Electric Century, and Ray Toro is releasing his own music on Soundcloud. Finally, Gerard Way is busy working on his second album and writing/illustrating his own comics. He will be at the San Diego Comic Con on July 22 doing a signing for fans.
