The Survival Code is an alt rock/punk group from London consisting of Gary McGuinness (guitar, vox, music) and Tom Cook (drums) with Chema Zurita playing bass on the record.
With influences ranging from Johnny Cash to the Deftones, The Survival Code has already gathered a loyal fanbase after gigging across the UK and Ireland over the last 4 years headlining some outstanding venues and opening for some very talented acts. The band has become known for their energetic and unforgiving live shows.
Their EP Everything but today came in 2013 and was followed with their debut album MMXV in 2015. In their latest song “Broken Strings,” the track highlights the bands ability to combine booming guitars and great melodies, along with a catchy chorus.
“Broken Strings” has been featured on the “New Rock Show” on Planet Rock, Total rock, and Kerrang! radio just to name a few. And touring doesn’t stop yet, the band will be continuing to play at venues in the UK and Ireland throughout the rest of the year. Dates for these shows will be announced on their website and on social media.
If you like bands like Deftones, Coheed and Cambria, and Foo Fighters, you may like The Survival Code. You can find their EP Broken Strings available November 14th.
