Big Hero 6 took Disney fans by storm when it first hit theaters. Since then, the movie has caused intrigue and obsession thanks to 14-year-old Hiro and friends. To make it all the better, Disney recently announced that a Marvel-branded Disney series is coming from everyone’s favorite heroes!
The good news doesn’t end there, though. Disney is also welcoming back most of the original voice cast from the movie to voice the TV show. These actors include the Marvel legend himself: Stan Lee, Scott Adsit, Jamie Chung, Ryan Potter, Maya Rudolph, Gensis Rodriguez, and Alan Tudyk.
The story will continue right where it left off at the end of the film. Hiro and his friends will have to use their teamwork to fight crime in their city of San Fransokyo.
President and chief creative director of Disney Channels Worldwide Gary Marsh says in terms of the studio’s progress:
“Our colleagues at Walt Disney Animation Studios have created a brilliant new world, inspired by Marvel, with vivid, unique characters. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to further develop these characters into a world class animated series — full of fun, action and the kind of endearing storytelling that only [producers] Mark, Bob — and Baymax — can deliver.”
The producers Mark McCorkle and Bob Shooley also created the Disney hit-show Kim Possible. Consequently, we can definitely expect that this show will be incredible.
We can only hope the the Big Hero 6 TV show will bring back that spark of joy that Disney has always ignited in us.
