Eurovision Song Contest 2017 is just weeks away. All 42 acts, as well as the Russian entrant who will not be competing, appear on the official album that was released this week. As the contest enters its seventh decade, the stakes have gone high and this time, the competition is going to be really tough.
No matter what might have changed over the last 60 years, one thing has remained the same. As per the tradition, the contest album releases a few weeks before the final competition. The official album for the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 has been released this week.
Comprising of 43 songs from 43 acts, the album follows the theme of “Celebrate Diversity”, also the main theme of the contest. From a soulful single to an upbeat dance track, the album offers a lot of variety and seems to catch up on the essence of each participant country.
The album is available on CD and for download and streaming. Adding to the fun, the album will now also be made available as a vinyl as the organizers plan to release first ever “vinyl box set”. As per the official website,
“The box set contains 4 theme colored vinyl, the 2CD album, an album download voucher, and not least a 56-pages softback coffee table book including an extensive foreword, artist biographies + exclusive photos. The show will also be released on DVD and high definition Blu-ray after the contest.”
The Eurovision Song Content 2017 will take place on 9, 11, & 13 May 2017. All the countries’ representatives will compete against each other at Eurovision stage at the International Exhibition Centre in Kyiv, Ukraine.
