With a flurry of amazing artists such as Zayn, Coldplay, Drake, Adele, etc taking the number one spot due to recent releases, Justin Bieber returns back once again to take his throne.
Since the release of his fourth studio album, Purpose, Bieber has remained in the top 3 since November of last year. Singles ‘What Do You Mean’, ‘Sorry’, and ‘Love Yourself’ have all gained numerous certifications worldwide including a 2x Platinum status in the U.K, and 2x Platinum (‘Love Yourself), 4x Platinum (‘What Do You Mean’) and 5x Platinum (‘Sorry’) in the U.S.
Purpose is also now his second most successful album following his debut album, but is already poised to surpass his debut album sales. In fact, the record is still placed in the top 10 in numerous countries (on iTunes) including the U.S. (#8), Lebanon (#6), Brazil (#10), Vietnam (#8), etc.
Long story short, the consistency of his singles plus the catchy-filled natures of his studio album, has propelled constant longevity – which is always a good thing. A good chart debut is great, but along with that longevity shows how much of an impact (if at all) an album, songs, etc can do.
