More details have surfaced from American Horror Story director Ryan Murphy about Lady Gaga’s lead role in the popular TV show. The fifth season entitled “Hotel” will be premièring this October and will also feature familiar cast members from previous series.
From what we have heard from Murphy at the Television Critics Association in Beverly Hills last Friday, we can judge that Gaga will play Elizabeth, the owner of a hotel in L.A who is “sort of a very wealthy social doyenne who is consumed with art and fashion and people” he continued, “she has a nefarious plan that is revealed in the first episode that plays out over the course of the season.”
Many recognisable faces from past seasons will also be making a return to this years haunted hotel including Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Matt Bomer and Angela Bassett. Jessica Lange however, a centre piece of the last four series instalments will not be making a come back though she has expressed an interest in interviews in making a further appearance in the future.
This is not the first time Gaga has dipped her toes in the silver screen industry. She has previously acted in the 2013 movie Machete Kills as well as making a cameo in Sin City: A Dame To Kill For. However, American Horror Story: Hotel will be her first role as a leading character in a television series.
