“Higher” is the official follow-up single to Laura Tesoro’s Eurovision 2016 song “What’s The Pressure?”. The song was released almost a month ago, and it’s definitely one we can’t get out of our heads. We’ve been waiting patiently for the music video, which she has been teasing constantly on her social media; but, finally, it’s here.
We previously reviewed the song back when it was released. After watching the video, we feel an early 00’s vibe to the song mixed up into 2017. Many people see her as Belgium’s answer to Sweden’s Zara Larsson.

The music video is a pure performance piece from Laura Tesoro; she is clearly loving the song whilst on set. The colourful background is accompanied by edited geometric camera shapes that distort the visual very slightly.
This easily proves how infectious the song is since Laura Tesoro has one of the biggest smiles on her face as she sings this song. Shooting the video was, obviously, a lot of fun. She showcases her bubbly personality and her confidence for letting go and just doing her own thing in this visual.
The video was dropped a few days ago and has already gained 40,000 views. The song peaked at number 21 a couple of weeks on the Belgium Ultratop 50 Flanders Chart, the release of the music video may help it to rise up.
