Liz Loughrey

Soul/Pop singer-songwriter Liz Loughrey has unveiled an inspiring visual for her empowering new single ‘Rise Up!’

Written and produced in Miami by Liz, Adrian X (The Weeknd, Drake, Kylie Minogue) and Supa Dups (Drake, Party Next Door, Mary J Blige), ‘Rise Up!’ is an uplifting offering which stands for positive change.

Oh do you really want to live before you die?
We’re gonna feel like we never felt before,
Do you know what you’re fighting for?
When you gonna Rise Up, everybody stand up!

‘Rise Up!’ is a call to action, encouraging us to stop living a life of complacency. In Liz’s words, “‘Rise Up!’ is more than a song, it’s a movement. The #RiseUpMovement is all about telling the stories of people who are positively impacting the world and encouraging people of all ages and walks of life to Rise Up in their communities.”

We turn on the news and are constantly bombarded with negativity and so it’s easy to feel powerless, but the #RiseUpMovement is spreading the message that we can do amazing things when we work together.. when we make LOVE our theme, and PEACE our goal. – Liz Loughrey

The track will definitely make you want to get up and change the world. Check out the powerful video below.

Liz has since launched the Rise Up Workshops, and is currently visiting schools around the country to encourage youth to think outside the box and start making their own positive impact on their community. This is something we can all get involved in, by using the #RiseUpMovement tag on social media.

With over two million views on her YouTube channel, Liz has built an incredibly loyal fanbase with her unique soul/pop sound. The Toronto based singer names Etta James and Sade as influences, and this is evident in her music. She is an old soul who aims to inspire people across the world with her unique brand of music. We will get to hear more of Liz’s soulful sound and uplifting lyrics in the future, as her upcoming EP is due for release sometime next year.

‘Rise Up!’ is available to download now.
