2016 has been an extremely challenging year for singer and actress Selena Gomez. Earlier this year she was forced to pull out of her world Revival tour due to illness. At the time she bravely confirmed she was suffering from severe depression and anxiety which was due to her ill health with Lupus disease.
But the end of 2016 and 2017 is looking much brighter for the 24-year-old who returned to the spotlight last month at the 2016 AMAs, where she made an emotional speech about her battle with her mental health issues over the past year, telling her supporters “if you are broken, you don’t have to stay broken”.
Selena who is now thankfully on her way back to full health has now started work on her new studio album which will be her second released via Interscope records. The new LP which has been dubbed SG2 by fans is due for release sometime in 2017.
The ‘Good For You’ hitmaker has been hard at work in the recording studio these past few days and has been working with Danish songwriter Jonas Jeberg, who is famous for working with Fifth Harmony, JLS, Demi Lovato, and many, many more.
Selena Gomez has also been recording with American producing duo The Futuristics, who have worked with the likes of Chris Brown, Austin Mahone, and Mika to name a few.
We here at Celeb Mix wish Selena Gomez all the best as she continues on the road to full health.
