Yesterday, the “Look What You Made Me Do” hit maker took to Instagram to tease the release of her new single. Following the current social media trend, the singer chose themed posts to make the announcement.

The singer has finally released her anticipated single “Gorgeous”.
Swift is popular amongst her fans for bringing forth relatable experiences of love, daily struggles of a girl or a break up through her comprehensible lyrics. “Gorgeous” is no different. The song, produced by Shellback and Max Martin, talks about a girl’s crush and her inability to talk about it. It’s not a love song but a “crush” song because while love gives one strength to overcome fear and express the admiration, a crush often lurks in a grey area and the anxiety makes it difficult for an admirer to make the next move.
The appreciation of the crush and struggle of the lover is clearly evident in the single. In terms of music and theme, the song digresses from Swift’s earlier release. It brings back the 1989 era to mind. Swift’s album “Reputation” will be released on November 10th and is available for pre-order.
