Troye Sivan released his music video for “Heaven” earlier today.

The video is a celebration of LGBTQ+ history. It features footage from significant LGBTQ+ moments mixed with visuals of Troye. In addition, the entire video is in black and white.
Troye calls Heaven “the most important song I’ve made.” It revolves around the struggle between sexuality and religion. In an interview with Out magazine, Troye said that it was healing to write Heaven:
“It was me thinking about how hard I try to be a good person and then feeling like, before I even opened my eyes as a little baby—because I think I was born gay—I was a sinner. All of those are very standard, but very confusing and hurtful conversations that you have to have with yourself as an LGBTQ person.”
