Former X Factor boyband Union J are using Justin Bieber’s comeback as the inspiration for their own musical comeback.
The group who were previously a four-piece are now a three-man band after they made the decision to part ways with George Shelley over differences.
Despite the major setback of losing a vital member of Union J, the boys; Josh Cuthbert, Jaymi Hensley and JJ Hamblett have not let it ruin their chances of chart success.
And they are using Justin Bieber’s hugely successful comeback as the inspiration for their own return to music.
The group last released music back in 2014, and have faced various setbacks since the release, but they are now back in the recording studio and stronger and more confident than ever.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, band member JJ said of Union J’s comeback:
“We’ve started in the studio and are working with some great writers.
“We are going over to America next month to record and just basically to try and find the right song to release.
“We’ve got some really exciting news coming out next month but I can’t give it away. But you’ll know very, very shortly. It’s just something we didn’t expect. We’ve got to think like Justin Bieber.
“He came back and nobody can deny that they love those songs and that’s what we want to do.”
JJ also teased that the trio’s new single will be completely different and hopes it will open them up to a much wider audience; “It’s slightly different but it’s just a hit.
“It’s just a great song which will hopefully broaden out into a wider market and a bigger audience.”
We here at Celeb Mix can’t wait for Union J’s new music, and we hope they dominate the charts with their new release.
