Wiktoria Releases New Single “I Won’t Stand In Your Way”

The Melodifestivalen two times finalist has released a new single.

Wiktoria Johansson made her name known during the 2016 Melodifestivalen – Sweden’s national selection show for Eurovision – where she performed “Save Me”; she came fourth overall. Then, she returned in 2017 and performed the song “As I Lay Me Down” which came sixth overall. She has released various singles over the years, and here is another one. “I Won’t Stand In Your Way” has been released today.

Written by Emiliy Philips and Jonas Wallin; the song is her follow-up to her 2017 Melodifestivalen single, which charted at number two in Sweden.

The song is an emotional pop ballad that is definitely giving us Disney feels (not surprising since Wiktoria played Moana in the Swedish dub of the film). She adds passion throughout and there’s a total understanding of what this song means.

Encouraging and honest, her vocals really shine in this one. More laid-back than her previous songs, Wiktoria still manages to stun us. We cannot wait for more songs like this one, that suits her voice brilliantly; although, you can’t beat the amazingness of “Save Me”, “Unthink You”, and “As I Lay Me Down”; yet, it’s nice to hear something slightly more stripped back from this future star.

The song is available to download and stream as of today. It has already gained more than 6,000 plays on Spotify in less than 24 hours, so expect this to become popular.
