As we start a brand new year we take a look at the 18 acts we can’t wait to hear new music from in 2018.
1: Cheryl
After a four year musical hiatus, Cheryl is set to finally release new music in the coming year. The Geordie superstar has been in the recording studio with the likes of Team Salut and is reportedly working on Afrobeats music. She is set to release new materiel at the end of 2018.
2: Ward Thomas
UK record breaking country music duo Ward Thomas spent the last few months of 2017 in the studio putting the finishing touches to their upcoming album. The LP is due for release in the first part of 2018.
3: Selena Gomez
US pop sensation Selena Gomez reinvented herself last year with a string of off-the-wall pop hits such as ‘Bad Liar’ and this year she will finally release her eagerly anticipated new album. The LP is set to drop in the late Spring early Summer.
4: Nick Jonas
2017 was an exciting year for Nick Jonas which saw him collaborate with country music legend Shania Twain. 2018 is set to see Jonas explore even more genre’s and his new LP is due to drop in the early part of the year.
5: The Shires
British country music duo The Shires have been locked away in the studio for the last few months of 2017 and fans can expect a new single from them very shortly with a LP due for release later in the year.
6: Shawn Mendes
Shawn Mendes is one of the most exciting talents around at the moment and his upcoming studio album is hotly tipped to become a Grammy winner. The LP which the Canadian superstar is recording at the moment will drop later in the year.
7: Ariana Grande
2017 was filled with mixed emotions for Ariana Grande but she proved herself to be not only a supremely talented singer but also a kind, compassionate Humanitarian. 2018 will see her take her career to the next level with new music expected in the first few months of the year.
8: Sarah Darling
Fans of US country sensation Sarah Darling only have to wait until March 2nd for new music from the hitmaker. She will be releasing new single ‘Wasted’ and her new album is set to follow later that month.
9: Andy Brown
Former Lawson frontman Andy Brown has proved himself to be on of the most exciting country acts to come out of the UK, with his debut single ‘Landslide’ featuring Crissie Rhodes he has gained a host of new fans. His debut album will be released early in 2018 with a new single dropping in the next few weeks.
10: George Shelley
George Shelley first went solo in 2016 but fans didn’t receive any new music from the heartthrob in 2017 which is understandable due to the star grieving the loss of his beloved sister. But 2018 will see him release a host of new materiel.
11: Una Healy
Former The Saturdays singer Una Healy launched her solo career in the New Year of 2017 with her brilliant single ‘Stay My Love’ featuring Nashville star Sam Palladio. And she will follow up debut LP ‘The Waiting Game’ with a new record later this year.
12: Union J
Fans have been waiting a long time for Union J to finally release new music but the wait is almost over as the three-piece will definitely release a new studio album later this year. The boys will premiere a new sound with their latest offering.
13: Kevin McGuire
Scotland’s Kevin McGuire is a country star that is going from strength to strength and 2018 is set to see him touring the UK and also releasing his eagerly anticipated debut studio album. The LP is due to be released later in the year.
14: Fleur East
Being dropped from Simon Cowell’s label Syco hasn’t put an end to Fleur East’s musical career, in fact it has breathed new life into it. Fans can expect new music from the X Factor star in the upcoming months.
15: DNCE
Fans of the quirky pop/rock outfit DNCE fronted by Joe Jonas can expect new music later this year. They have been in the recording studio since the end of 2017 and their new LP is set to drop later in 2018.
16: Omi
2018 will finally see new music being released by the ‘Cheerleader’ hitmaker, Omi. Fans have been patiently waiting for new materiel and this year they will finally get it. Expect new music in the first few months of the year.
17: Carolynne
British country singer Carolynne had a busy 2017 with the release of her debut EP and the birth of her baby boy. And 2018 is set to be even busier. New music is expected in the later part of the year.
18: Sam Palladio
Nashville TV star Sam Palladio is expected to release his solo music at the end of the year. The TV show will air its last season this year, and the Brit actor who plays Gunnar Scott is expected to launch a solo career shortly after.
