With Little Mix’s Nicki Minaj-infused ‘Woman Like Me’ still climbing high in the charts, CelebMix casts an eye over five of the rapper’s best collaborations to date.
The ever-controversial rap star is a mass collaborator, featuring on countless tracks over the past decade. Pop, rap, R&B, Minaj has done it all. Here are five of her most iconic feature verses to date…
1. Woman Like Me – Little Mix
How could we not start with Little Mix? Today the girl group release their outstanding fifth studio album, LM5, and have cemented their name as one of the top pop acts in the industry.
‘Woman Like Me’, the first single from the latest album cycle, is a sassy pop flick where Minaj delivers a full verse in the bridge. A recent EMA performance with the artists reunited was a treat for fans.
2. Beauty and a Beat – Justin Bieber
The Biebs might well have been a bit quiet recently, but there’s no forgetting this 2012 record. The music video sees the two frolicking at a house party, getting on like best chums. What a bop.
3. Side To Side – Ariana Grande
Ariana Grande is everywhere at the moment and, quite frankly, has been for the past five years. Whether ‘Side To Side’ is an exercising anthem or something a little raunchier is up to you to decide… Out of all the Grande-Minaj collaborations, this naughty effort has to be the best.
4. Hey Mama – David Guetta, Bebe Rexha, Afrojack
Another frequent team up is between Guetta and Minaj, the two recently putting out the current single ‘Goodbye’. Back in 2014 the Bebe Rexha-penned ‘Hey Mama’ came out, a powerful EDM effort where the rapper reigns supreme on the verse.
5. Run Up – Major Lazer, PARTYNEXTDOOR
Perhaps one of Nicki Minaj’s collaborations that flies under the radar, the rapper’s verse on Major Lazer’s ‘Run Up’ did not go unnoticed with fans. In her verse, Minaj let fly that she was “Bout to drop an album, this is my fourth”, setting fans’ tongues tingling.
