Camila Cabello has teamed up with Spanish artist Alejandro Sanz for a new track called ‘Mi Persona Favorita’ (‘My Favourite Person’).
In a post on her Instagram, Camila wrote at length in Spanish about how the collaboration with one of her musical idols came about. Alejandro reached out to the songstress last summer to ask if they could do a song together for his album, and it was without doubt a no brainer for Camila.
“Alejandro, your music has been the soundtrack of the life of my family and mine, since always, and now I have the privilege of calling you my friend and collaborator (I still can’t believe it!).
“Making this song with you has been very special and a total adventure. Thank you for thinking of me and inviting me to work together. At last you will be able to listen to it, I am super excited! This is a magical moment!”
The music video for ‘Mi Persona Favorita’ was released on Thursday (March 28), and perfectly captures the heartfelt essence of the song. The track is all about celebrating the things you love about the most important people in your life, and on social media, Camila revealed that she was dedicating the song to her sister Sofia.
Directed by Gil Green, the visual is made up of scenes of Alejandro and Camila performing in the studio, intertwined with shots of a diverse range of people with their favourite person, stating and showing why they love them so much.

‘Mi Persona Favorita’ is taken from Alejandro’s forthcoming album El Disco, due for release on April 5. The ten-track album will also include collaborations with Residente, Nicky Jam, and Judit Nedderman.
