After it’s initial debut of 99 last week on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart, Black Magic has skyrocketed up +31 places to a new peak of 68 selling approximately 28,000 copies.
This means that Black Magic is now (so far) Little Mix’s highest charting single to date on the Hot 100 chart. With the song currently stabilized around the 50’s on the U.S. iTunes chart, it’s safe to assume that another slight increase on the charts is definite.
The girls are expected to come back to the states later in the upcoming month (September) so there is still a big chance the girls will have their first top 40 hit on the official charts. For any U.K. act, breaking through in the U.S. can be a tough battle. Fortunately for Little Mix. they seem to have come up with the right formula to tackle the U.S. this time around.
Nonetheless, you can’t say the girls haven’t had stateside success anyway. Remember, two top ten albums on the Billboard 200 chart is a pretty amazing feat for an artist/group that hasn’t had a top 40 hit (just yet).
We’ll be keeping an eye on Black Magic’s fluctuations and eventually, their third album, Get Weird.
Our review of “Hair”, a song off Little Mix’s new album, will be put up shortly after its promotional release this Friday (8/28/15).
