American Hip-Hop supergroup BROCKHAMPTON have delighted fans this week, by sharing news of their upcoming 6th studio album, ROADRUNNER: NEW LIGHT, NEW MACHINE – set to drop April 9th, 2021 via Question Everything/RCA Records.
Serving as the follow up to 2019’s Ginger, and featuring the bands latest single Buzzcut featuring American rapper Danny Brown, the record looks set to be yet another groundbreaking release for the boys as they reflect upon both their individual, and shared experiences of the last 12 months, to produce some of the most accomplished music of their career to date.
With the album’s tone reflecting the highs and lows of living life in lockdown as a result of the global Coronavirus pandemic – both tragic and celebratory – the members of BROCKHAMPTON have produced an eclectic mix of songs built around the recurring theme of finding “the light” in your life. As such, ROADRUNNER: NEW LIGHT, NEW MACHINE is equal parts “braggadocio and empathy” as the once young, wide-eyed boyband return to the world of pop sounding more self aware, and self assured than ever before.
