    BTS make history with their first ever Grammy nomination

    BTS have once again made history by becoming the first ever Korean artist to be recognised and nominated for the Grammys.

    The boys have snatched up a nomination for ‘Best Recording Package’ for their album ‘Love Yourself: Tear’, which reached Number One on the Billboard Top 200 earlier this year. Whilst this is not an award based off of their musicality, it is a step in the right direction for BTS. The nomination solidifies themselves as Grammy recognised artists,no matter how small of an area this may be, it is a form of recognition by the world renown recording academy.

    BTS have gone from strength to strength in 2018, doing things that many of the public would have deemed hard for a non-English speaking group to do; selling out an American stadium, scoring two Number one albums on the Billboard Top 200, selling out the O2 arena without ever promoting in the UK before and now bragging rights of being the first ever Korean act to have a Grammy recognised album. BTS have proven the impossible to be possible and with the start of  a new era upon them, and the world becoming more and more in tune to the South Korean boy group, we will not be surprised to see them on higher nominations at the 2020 Grammys.
