Popstar Cheryl has kept relatively low-key since she welcomed her baby boy, Bear into the world back in March, but she is slowly making a return to the spotlight and last weekend made spectacular return to The X Factor as Simon Cowell’s helper at Judges Houses.
And during an interview on Lorraine with Dan Wootton last week the hitmaker confirmed that she is starting to work on new music again saying; “I do have plans and I am receiving songs and music and stuff at the moment.”
But the 34-year-old mother-of-one was also keen to point out that she will not rush into a musical comeback as she wants to spend as much time as possible with her baby son; “It’s been so long. They [the fans] have been very patient. I’m thinking about it, but I just want more time with Bear at the moment. I’m just loving that to be honest.”
And taking all this into consideration it is looking likely that Cheryl could be gearing up to release a Greatest Hits album. The singer has been asking fans on Twitter lately what their favourite non-singles from her are;
Yoo hoo ?? can you tweet me the songs from my albums that you think should've been singles please ?

And yesterday (October 23rd) she posted an emotional three-tweet message thanking her “soldiers” for supporting her for the last fifteen years;
It just dawned on me that next month I will have been in this industry for 15 years ?!! …

All this could mean a Greatest Hits LP is on the horizon. Logically it makes the most sense as the hitmaker would only need to include two/three new tracks while the rest of the CD would includes number 1 hits such as ‘Fight For This Love’, ‘Call My Name’, and ‘I Don’t Care’ amongst others. And after 15-years in the industry as a member of Girls Aloud, and a solo star it would be a nice celebration to release a Greatest Hits album.
This sort of compilation LP would also mean that the fans get a taste of new music while Cheryl doesn’t have to take too much time away from Bear. And with five number 1 solo singles, and four top-ten hit albums including two number 1’s the songstress has plenty of hits to include.
