Record label CruCast are bringing drum and bass fans the chance to enjoy some of the biggest musicians from the genre in the comfort of their own homes for a special indoor festival, which will also help to raise money for the NHS.

    CruCast indoor festival official lineup

Chris Lorenzo, DJ Q, Zinc and Jamie Duggan are just some of the DJs who have already been confirmed to be performing at the event, alongside many other renowned artists across drum and bass.

    Chris Lorenzo

Chris is well known for his hybrid sound of bassline and house, which he terms “House & Bass”. Zinc became known in the 90s for his “Super Sharp Shooter” – a fusion of hip hop and jungle music.

DJ Q is most recognisable for being a member of the group TQD alongside Flava D and Royal-T, and is also known for his solo hits, including the UK top 50 hit “U Wot” (featuring MC Bonez) from 2008. He also became the youngest DJ at BBC Radio 1Xtra in 2004, hosting his own UKG show fortnightly.

    Jamie Duggan

Meanwhile, Jamie Duggan happens to be one of the biggest DJs to come out of Sheffield in recent years, and is a well known figure in the bass music scene.

The indoor festival is set to kick off tomorrow at 6pm, and will last for four days, concluding on 10 May at 10pm. All of the sets are being recorded and will also be available to be downloaded to anyone who donates to the NHS CruCast fundraiser. so far, CruCast have raised over £1500, with their target set at £5000.

CruCast originally started as a YouTube channel by founder Jo Lazcru to share DJ mixes, but it has since grown to become of the biggest bass music labels. As well as being home to many music artists, the label is also responsible for hosting stage takeovers at many festivals such as Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds and Creamfields.

The CruCast indoor festival will be available to stream on the label’s Facebook page, so make sure you check it out if you’re interested!
