Whilst some people may be unfamiliar with up and coming country-pop duo, Dan and Shay, their fans at Bush Hall, London on Tuesday 20th September seemingly could not forget a single word of any song.

After a successful few years breaking into the US country scene and releasing two albums, the pair headed to the UK to perform at four sold out dates in Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham and London.

The venue was amazingly intimate, decked in beautiful chandeliers and mirrors. The crowd clearly appreciated this beautiful venue and surrounded by hues of pink light, they eagerly waited for the show to begin.

Support act, Pauper Kings, hail from Leeds and presented fans with a fantastic showcase of both covers and original songs. Providing a great stage presence and beautiful lyrics, the crowd clearly loved their short but sweet set, and many certainly left searching to listen to their songs again.

After a short while awaiting the main act, the crowd turned electric as Dan + Shay took to the stage. Performing songs from both albums, ‘Where It All Began’ and ‘Obsessed’, with each song came louder singing from the fans, losing themselves in the moment after waiting so long for the band to tour the UK.

The duo on stage, simply with an acoustic guitar and microphones, proved that an extensive band was not needed. Dan’s fantastic guitar playing together with Shay’s occasional beatboxing and fake guitar solos displayed the raw talent each of them holds.

Harmonising beautifully in ‘From The Ground Up’, a song written for their inspiring grandparents provoked a beautiful, reminiscent atmosphere everyone in the room seemed to appreciate. The melodic tone continued throughout songs such as ‘Lipstick’ and an amazing cover of Ed Sheeran’s ‘Thinking Out Loud’.

More upbeat songs such as ‘Stop Drop + Roll’ and ‘Show You Off’ created a sense of energy in the crowd and leaving fans dancing left right and centre, joining in with every word.

Not only did they perform a fantastic set, but the pair stayed behind after the show to meet every single fan, sign autographs, take photos and spend time chatting with many of those who have waited so long to see their favourite band live.

We hope to see Dan + Shay again here in the UK soon! They can be certain fans will be waiting and ready to sing every word back to them all over again.
