Shawn Mendes first released ‘Stitches’ back in March 2015 as a pre-order track from his album, before the song was officially released as a single in May. Whilst many of us have been enjoying the song for several months, it has only really started to become a big hit in the UK over the past few weeks.

Many artists have taken to YouTube to share their version of the song, and the latest to do so is Conor Maynard, alongside his good friend Anth Melo. Conor, known for his songs “Can’t Say No”, “Animal” and “R U Crazy”, regularly posts covers, taking on some of the most current popular songs.

Conor has really treated us to a special cover of this song –  this slightly slowed down, piano version is stunning, the goosebumps are real! His vocals are beautiful and truly suit the song. Anth puts a fantastic twist on the song too by adding a great rap, before Conor finishes off by mixing in a bit of Justin Bieber’s ‘Sorry’.

We’re sure that Shawn would love this version of ‘Stitches’, and it’s quite ironic that Conor decided to put in a bit of the Biebs too, as it looks as if Shawn might bring Justin’s reign at UK number one to an end this week! According to today’s chart update, ‘Stitches’ is 621 copies ahead of Justin’s ‘Love Yourself’ at the mid-week stage.

We’re in love with Conor and Anth’s cover of ‘Stitches’, and you can check it out below.
