We have some sad news for fans of Foo Fighters! Dave Grohl may be leaving the band.
We last saw Dave Grohl two days ago, giving us a beautiful rendition of ‘Blackbird‘ for the In Memoriam tribute at the Oscars on Sunday night at the Dolby theatre. He played acoustic guitar and sang while a video played in the background, honouring people in the film industry who had tragically passed away in the last year.
Dave was praised for his moving performance on social media, possibly hinting that he was ready to ditch his bandmates for good someday.
Sadly, that day may come sooner than fans think. It has been reported that the singer is ready to go solo after falling out with his band mate, Taylor Hawkins.
The band have insisted they are on a hiatus but an inside source has claimed that Dave, the 47 year old frontman, is wanting to go solo and Taylor Hawkins (pictured above on the right of Dave), the drummer, is apparently unimpressed with the idea. The source says that “The band is billing it as a ‘break’ but it’s totally Dave going solo, and Taylor is p*ssed about it.”
However, other sources have said that these reports are “completely untrue” according to the New York Post.
So, it’s not 100% clear on whether Dave Grohl is leaving the rock band or not as of right now but after the positive comments he received after his Oscar performance, it is looking likely.
