Asher Knight is a 21-year-old singer-songwriter from Bradford who has been making waves in the industry after working with renowned producers and songwriters, in addition to supporting some very well known artists on tour.
Having discovered his passion for music at the age of 15, Asher initially felt reluctant to pursue a career in the industry after suffering from low self-esteem and bad bullying at school. However, a year later, he was introduced to celebrity vocal coach CeCe Sammy, who helped him to develop his confidence levels whilst also honing his singing and performance skills.
Asher hasn’t looked back since, and made the move to London in 2016 in order to fully focus on his music. Being in the capital has allowed him to further hone his talent and has introduced him to a stellar line up of artists, songwriters and producers, including Olly Murs, Mark Owen, Jon Maguire, Cuttfather, and Red Triangle.

Over the past few years, Asher has built up a strong fanbase online thanks to his music releases. Tracks such as ‘Hurricanes and Tornadoes’, ‘WHY’, and ‘Save Me From Myself’ have racked up thousands of streams on Spotify, with Asher accumulating over 43,000 monthly listeners.
Additionally, he supported Boyzone on their arena tour earlier this year, in addition to artists such as Steps and All Saints, gaining plenty of new fans along the way. He is currently supporting The Vamps on tour, as part of vocal collective The Power of Muzik along with Luena and Denis Coleman.
Asher is gearing up towards the release of his debut EP, Step Back, which is due to be unveiled on May 17. A few weeks ago, he released the title track, which gives us a taste of what we can expect from his forthcoming body of work.
Written by Take That’s Mark Owen and produced by Red Triangle, ‘Step Back’ encourages us to take a breather and a step back when we’re feeling insecure or if things are getting tough, as it will allow us to appreciate what we already have in our lives.
