Record breaking musician Ed Sheeran has been forced to cancel a string of tour dates due to injuries suffered in a biking accident. The 26-year-old hitmaker fractured his right wrist and left elbow after being hit by a car while on his cycle in London earlier this week.
As a result of his painful injuries it now mean that five of Sheeran’s upcoming tour dates will “not go ahead as planned”. The dates affected are as follows: Taipei, Osaka, Seoul, Tokyo and Hong Kong And sadly there is a chance more shows will be cancelled if Ed’s arms do not heal as quickly as hoped by doctors and the singer.
The news was confirmed by Ed Sheeran in a message to his millions of loyal fans via Instagram. In the post which he explained was typed by someone else as he cannot write at the moment. The message read: “A visit to my doctors confirmed fractures in my right wrist and left elbow that will leave me unable to perform live concerts for the immediate future. Sadly, this means that the following shows will not be able to go ahead as planned: Taipei, Osaka, Seoul, Tokyo and Hong Kong. I’m waiting to see how the healing progresses before we have to decide on shows beyond that. Please stay tuned for more details. PS – Ed isn’t typing this as he has both arms casted/bandaged” (sic)
At the moment there is no confirmation whether the five Asian dates will be rescheduled! We hope Ed has a super speedy recovery and is back on stage very soon.
