The latest single by Anna Goryacheva, “Glass Etude,” marked a significant step forward for the classical piano star. It quickly surpassed 100,000 streams as she prepares to continue the rise of her career with the forthcoming debut album SUMMER NIGHTS. The freshly released dynamic single was written by Phillip Glass, one of the most influential composers in the United States and the modern music world, known for his minimalist compositions.
Anna discovered a new form of piano music by working on Glass’s music, which is entirely different from what her fans are used to. Goryacheva aimed to highlight the work of Philip Glass, as current classical music needs to be recognized just as much as traditional classical music to broaden the repertory of piano performance. In her words, “Now that I’ve performed the music of both traditional and contemporary composers, I’ve realized how immensely adaptable the living composers are, and how open they are to exploring new musical directions. Once I heard this piece, I was astounded by its beauty; it instantly resonated with me”.
Anna Goryacheva’s career as a musician began when she was just six years old. At nine, she debuted with the orchestra performing Haydn’s Concerto in D major in Hungary. She had already begun to perform and appear in public at that age. By the time she was ten years old, she had performed as a soloist with the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Pavel Berman, on its tour of Eastern Europe. Since then, she has honed her skills as a brilliant performer, regarding public appearances as a necessary aspect of her profession.
Goryacheva received a full scholarship at USC Thornton School of Music for an Artist Diploma and Master’s degree. Born in the Soviet Union, she began her career from scratch and was able to break into the American market, captivating audiences with her impeccable skills and artistry. One of classical music’s creative minds, the pianist was celebrated by LA weekly as a “Soloist of incredible talent.”
Anna’s determination to excel and stand out enabled her to dominate her field. As an established woman and performing artist, she continues to make moves and gain worldwide recognition, encouraging young aspiring musicians to achieve their artistic goals.
