It’s nothing new seeing two acts from Eurovision collaborate on a song, but it seems that the connections made at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 has launched a series of collaborations, and this time it’s between Timebelle and SunStroke Project with their song “Tocame”. This catchy track would certainly do well if it were entered into Eurovision – as long as they got the staging right for it. The song follows up Timebelle’s collaboration with Soundland on “Heartache”, and SunStroke Project’s re-release of “Amor” and their official release of “I Want You” which features Broono.
Timebelle is a three-piece group consisting of Miruna Manescu, Samuel Forster, and Emanuel Daniel Andriescu. They are best known for representing Switzerland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017, with the song “Apollo”. This song was a CelebMix favourite and was well-received by fans of the show, however, they came 12th in their semi-final, failing to make it through to the Grand Final, with many people suggesting the staging as the reason. Before Eurovision 2017, they attempted to represent Switzerland in 2015 but just missed out, placing second in the national selection show with the song “Singing About Love”. They have since teamed up with Soundland and released a couple of singles. This new one is their first Spanish-language track – which has an English verse by SunStroke Project.
This featured male-trio consists of Sergei Yalovitsky, Anton Ragoza, and Sergey Stepanov. They have represented Moldova at the Eurovision Song Contest twice; the first time was in 2010 with Olia Tira where they sang “Run Away”, coming in 22nd, whilst Sergey Stepanov became virally known as Epic Sax Guy; the second time was in 2017 with the awesome song “Hey, Mama!”, which was also a CelebMix favourite as well as the viewers around the world, so much so that they finished in third place in the Grand Final, giving Moldova their best result to-date. The group has released follow-up singles and are still a highlight from that Eurovision year. They are definitely ones to watch as each year goes by, as they are certainly bringing flavour to the music industry which we’re currently missing.
According to the description of the lyric video on YouTube, the song was written by Miruna Manescu, whilst Soundland acted as producer. The bright, colourful, Spanish-themed lyric video has been created by Andrei Grosu. It is unknown whether a music video is planned, although we would very much like to see Timebelle and SunStroke Project in a visual together.

As time goes on, these two acts are blowing us away with their vocals, Miruna Manescu is a beautiful, shining star in the song, capturing us with every single word whilst giving us chills with her emotion and her runs. The backing track has a typical Latin flavour, that is until Epic Sax Guy jumps in and brings this awesome cross-culture experience of Romania, Switzerland, and Moldova, making us wish we could be in all three countries at once listening to this song on a beach.
Sergei Yalovitsky jumps in with a great English verse that continues the song’s narrative of a teasing exchange between two people. The song sends that sexually-charged air right through our speakers.
“Tocame” is available to download and stream right now through Seek Music, Epic Record, and BIS Music.
