‘Hand Made House’ is an emerging alternative-pop rock band based in Boston, MA. After previous hit musical releases such as “Through You” and the five-tracks-long album “How It Ends and Where I’m Going” (released in October 2018), ‘Hand Made House’ is back with their latest offering. The latest single titled “In Bloom” is going to release today everywhere on Friday, June 28th.
The band was founded in 2016 by Tucker Click (lead vocalist), Josh Nardine (drummer), and Maison Thomas-Eudy (guitarist) who also happens to be the son of Matchbox Twenty Frontman, Rob Thomas. The Hand Made House’s members met while studying at Berklee College of Music. Soon after, Mark Donohue (bassist) joined the band before their debut performance in 2017. A year later, Amin Mortada (guitarist) joined the group. Together, they have adopted their name as a symbol by making every show feel like home and encouraging a sense of belonging for each audience member.
The musical content offered by Hand Made House has reminiscent tones of the band’s musical influences, such as 5 Seconds of Summer, Kings of Leon, Young the Giant, Nothing but Thieves, and The 1975. Their latest single, “In Bloom”, will be the second single release of the year 2019 for the band. Previously, they released their first single titled “What Goes Up” in May 2019. Since landing on the scene and playing more and more gigs around, this Boston-based band has caught the eye of some of the most talented, famous and well-connected people in the entertainment industry. With Maison being the son of Rob Thomas, many people would assume that he would easily rise to stardom, but quite the contrary, the band has gained their own merits and exposure.
About the new single, Tucker Click, the lead vocalist shares his thoughts, “’In Bloom’ is a bit different than anything we’ve released so far. While it’s still very much Hand Made House, it feels like our songwriting is continuing to evolve and change. This song lyrically might be one of my favorite I’ve written and holds a place especially close to my heart.” Further, he adds, “I wrote this song about self-growth, self-discovery, living in the moment, and being the best version of myself I can be. Putting all of that into the idea of being “In Bloom” was my way of helping people find their own form of self-growth. Not every flower necessarily blooms the same, as cheesy as that may sound. I almost wrote this song at myself, hoping I’d take my own advice, too. I tend to get so wrapped up in the future, that I sometimes forget to be living my life in the moment. Hopefully, someone will hear it and it’ll give them that same ethereal feeling of living in the moment that I got when writing it.”
On July 10th, the official music video for “In Bloom” will be released. The video is directed by film producer/director Jamielyn Lippman, who has directed and produced such films as “3 Years in Pakistan: The Erik Aude Story”, “When the Bough Breaks” and the highly anticipated upcoming thriller “Killer Weekend”.
