Holly Henderson releases her latest single “Loneliness”

Alternative singer-songwriter and guitarist Holly Henderson has released her latest single “Loneliness”!

Holly Henderson - "Loneliness" single cover

The song is a catchy Britpop influenced number which features Holly’s captivating vocals over a melody of guitars.

Of the song’s meaning, Holly said: “‘Loneliness’ is about being all dressed up with nowhere to go, of being a hopeless romantic in the modern age. We fabricate our best selves online, yet we stay in the confines of our bedrooms and become trapped in a superficial circle of proving ourselves to everyone, and getting nothing tactile and genuine back in return.

“It mocks the ridiculousness of us being more connected than ever, and at the same time, totally alone.”

The song’s official music video is a portrayal of what it feels like to be lonely in the digital age, and sees Holly singing behind a projection of images, interspersed with black and white scenes of Holly lying on a sofa. We think the video is a good indication of the song’s lyrics and meaning, and is also aesthetically pleasing.

“Loneliness” is a refreshing piece of music so far in 2019, not sounding like anything in the charts at the moment. The video is also a cool concept that is an epitome of the song’s emotions. We look forward to hearing more music from Holly!

“Loneliness” is available to stream/purchase from the following outlets:

Spotify | Apple Music | iTunes | Google Play | Tidal | Deezer | Amazon Music

The single is the first release from Holly’s upcoming debut album “Monday Green”, which will be released on 7th June on the Trend & Chaos label.
