Introducing: AMBER

25 year old Amber Bondin is a Maltese singer who best known for representing Malta in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015. Ever since then, Amber has continued to develop her own unique style and sound.

Amber won several local and international talent competitions before it culminated in her being chosen to represent Malta in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015. You can watch her music video for ‘Warrior’ below:

Amber’s idol is Ray Charles, yet she also draws inspiration from the 1950s era – artists such as Etta James. Like many other artists in the music industry today, she is also heavily inspired by Beyoncé.

She has also performed across Europe, in the UK, Austria, Malta and Russia and duetted with singers such as Ronan Keating, Gigi D’Alessio and Joseph Calleja.

In 2016, Amber was invited to perform at the Isle of MTV concert alongside other artists such as Jess Glynne, Clean Bandit, and many others. From this, her singles ‘Messed Up Love,’ ‘What They Say’ and ‘Warrior,’ went on to place in the iTunes charts.

Amber is involved in charity work and strives to raise as much money as possible for charities abroad. She regularly visits Tanzania to help children in need. Recently, Amber visited an educational facility in Vienna, where she helped immigrant children. Reflecting on the experience, Amber says that ‘it has changed my life completely. I am now appreciating the simpler things in life.’

Amber released her debut solo album ‘Redemption’ in November 2016, after a year and a half of hard work. The album was co-written, composed and produced alongside Maltese music duo Elton and Muxu. The album isn’t a set genre – it is a variety of styles such as pop, soul, jazz and R&B. ‘Redemption’ is a very personal album, detailing things Amber has gone through.
