The UK leg of Little Mix’s Get Weird tour is fast approaching, with Mixers everywhere getting their best dance moves and vocals at the ready. To get you even more excited for the tour, we thought that now is as good a time as any to get to know one of the support acts who will be entertaining you.
Meet Joey Devries, a 21-year-old singer-songwriter from Wales. With his great vocals and gorgeous looks, he is guaranteed to set hearts aflutter on tour!
You may already recognise Joey from his time in the boyband Overload (Generation), who appeared on X Factor in 2014. The band made it all they way to the live shows, after being picked as a wildcard. Unfortunately, they were voted out in the first week, and they split soon after. All of the boys have gone on to do their own projects and luckily for us, this paved the way for Joey to work towards launching his solo career.
Since then, Joey has been working hard on building his solo career and expanding his fanbase. He is extremely fan orientated, spending a lot of time chatting with fans on social media and organising meetups. He has also toured across the country by doing his own headline shows, with many of the locations selling out. His popularity isn’t contained to the UK either – he has a big fanbase abroad, and most recently, he’s been out in Poland with fellow ex-Overload member Ryan.
He released his debut single ‘Never Ever’ last year, and it’s a real catchy jam. Check out the video for it below!
His next single is a ballad called ‘Fix My Heart’, which is available to pre-order from Wednesday, March 2nd.
Joey’s one of many in his family with music in his blood, as his younger siblings have also ventured into the music industry. You might already be familiar with his brother Leondre, who found fame on Britain’s Got Talent as one-half of the duo Bars and Melody. His sister Matilda is also a singer, and part of the duo DaddySaid2.
As well as being musically talented, let’s state the obvious – Joey is a good looking guy. Luckily for us, he loves a good old selfie too, meaning that we can admire him quite a bit on his Instagram. It would be rude not to share his beauty with you, so here’s some of our fave selfies.
Of course, a fab voice and a great face are just two of the qualities that Joey brings to the table. He is hilarious, and shares vlogs and dare videos on his YouTube channel.
Joey also has a super kind heart. We already mentioned that he is adorable to his fans, however, he is also extremely charitable. Last year, he walked over 200 miles from South Wales to London in ten days, raising money for Great Ormond Street Hospital in memory of his brother Santino!
We also mentioned earlier that Joey is Welsh, which means that he has one hell of a cute accent. We dare you not to fall in love with it!
