Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall has raised over £6000 for Cancer Connections donating her clothes to Empire Preloved in South Shields.
Jade has been a very active patron of Cancer Connections for five years. She has been raising money for them since she was 14.
In June this year, she spoke at there 10th birthday celebrations. In an emotional speech, she thanked the charity for caring for a member of her family when they were fighting cancer.
Cancer Connections is a local charity based in South Shields which helps people and their families who are dealing with cancer.
In her speech, she said how proud she was to see how far the charity had come and how many people it had helped since it started.
With the help of her Mum Norma, Jade has donated over 100 pieces of her wardrobe to Empire Preloved for them to sell. She has donated dresses, shoes, bags, tops, trousers. Including some key pieces, she has worn for media events and on tour while in Little Mix over the past 5 years.
Kerrie who owns Empire Preloved has spent hours cataloging the items Jade has donated, sourcing images of her wearing them. The pair became friends when Kerrie hosted Jade’s 21st birthday party at the nightclub she owns Club Del Mar. The entire club was transformed into a Disney movie.
