Joe and Jake, this year’s UK entry for the Eurovision Song Contest, have unveiled the official music video for their song ‘You’re Not Alone’.

Joe Woolford and Jake Shakeshaft are former contestants from The Voice UK who decided to form a duo after meeting on the show. They held off strong competition from five other hopefuls during ‘Eurovision: You Decide’ last month and won the public vote with their feel good song ‘You’re Not Alone’.

The boys have a strong backing in the industry too, as they have also been signed to Sony Music. Managing Director of Sony Music Commercial Group Phil Savill said: “Joe and Jake are a fantastically talented pair of artists and You’re Not Alone is an outstanding song. We are delighted to be working with the guys on making this year’s UK Eurovision entry a huge international hit.”

The UK Eurovision entry is always a hot topic of conversation and it is difficult to find an act that will please everyone. We’ve tried pretty much everything over the years, from the funny (Scooch, Daz Sampson) to well-known artists such as Blue and Bonnie Tyler. However, we haven’t won since Katrina and the Waves took to the stage in 1997! Last year’s entry, Electro Velvet, managed a meagre five points and finished 24th out of 27.

There appears to be a lot more positivity surrounding Joe and Jake’s entry this year, however we will have to wait until the 14th of May to see how the pair get on.

Watch Joe and Jake’s video for ‘You’re Not Alone’ below. Their song is available to download now.
