John Newman has delivered some much needed summer vibes today, after dropping the music video for his latest track ‘Olé’.
The chilled video features John out in Los Cabos, Mexico, enjoying the sunshine. He is sporting a number of tropical shirts, whilst he walks on the beach and sings in a beautiful apartment.
Calvin Harris, John’s good friend who wrote and produced the song, also stars in the video. He makes a couple of appearances and is seen relaxing and having a laugh with John on a boat.
The track is completely different from the duo’s number one hit ‘Blame’, and is unlike any other material they’ve released individually. However, it stands out as a must-listen summer track, perfect for when you’re chilling by the beach.
We can imagine that a lot of fun was had on this shoot, and the video is completely fitting with the vibe of this laid-back song. The end of the video is like a postcard, with the words ‘Wish You Were Here’ – yes, we really do wish we were there!

The video comes days after it was revealed that John’s brain tumour has returned. Despite being given the bad news, the singer has remained positive and stated that: “Nothing will ever stop me from doing the job I love so much, nothing will ever stop me from making music.”
It’s amazing to see John’s positivity shine through and he certainly looks like he’s living the dream in this music video.
