After a long hiatus from his solo music, Justin Bieber has returned with a much anticipated announcement right before the end of 2019.
With #Bieber2020 trending for days prior to the information being released, the singer teased fans by changing all of his profile pictures and the thumbnails of his YouTube videos. He also gave fans three dates to look out for: December 24, 2019, December 31, 2019, and January 3, 2019. The search was on for Beliebers to find out exactly what he was teasing, but countless across social media predicted that it would be new music. Once again, his fans were right.
On December 24, 2019, Bieber took to social media to share that his new single, “Yummy,” will be released on January 3, 2019. And in addition to the new music, Bieber will be hitting the road to go back on tour throughout the United States and Canada in 2020. The tour will kick off in Seattle, Washington, on May 14, 2019.
It has been confirmed that “Yummy” will be featured on Justin Bieber’s fifth studio album which has yet to be named or given a confirmed release date. Despite the lack of information on the album, fans are more than satisfied with news that it is on its way.
A docu-series focused on Justin Bieber was also announced in his brief “Super Trailer.” Although this was all released just a day before Christmas, it seems as though Christmas still came early for Beliebers with all of the upcoming content they are getting excited about before the new year. In fact, it’s been almost five years since the release of Justin Bieber’s last album, Purpose.
Bieber opened up about the new album in the recently released trailer: “I feel like this is different than the previous albums just because of where I’m at in my life.”
