Despite her busy schedule and continuing to surprise fans with never-ending new content, Lana Del Rey stopped by BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge to give her fans something else exciting to talk about.
Just when music fans thought Ariana Grande’s smash hit, ‘Break Up With Your Girlfriend,’ couldn’t get any better, Lana covered it in a completely new way and practically broke the internet. Her performance gave the track a fresh new sound while also keeping the rendition true to her roots as an artist. Music fans may not have expected Lana to choose to cover this track based on the difference in music styles, but its mysterious vibe has listeners practically addicted to it.
Her cover of the hit makes it feel like a brand new song and in typical Lana Del Rey fashion, it’s captivating people around the world while still managing to dominate social media. In addition to sounding warm and earthy, it only made fans more excited about hearing Lana, Miley Cyrus and Ariana Grande together for the theme song of the Charlie’s Angels reboot.
Grande replied to a video of the performance by saying “oh my god i love you so very very much” on Twitter.
