London-based Geordie performer and singer/songwriter Carly Burns spreads hope in the gloomy month of January with a new tearjerking single ‘Now You Fly.’

‘Now You Fly is Burns’ fourth release and makes for the most personal one. She elaborates on finding strength through songwriting as she dedicates ‘Now You Fly’ to her friend that sadly took his life. “I have been developing this song for a year and a half, and the whole process has been like therapy to me. Through some insanely intense lows, my music has allowed me to release my grief and find strength. The recording studio day was extremely emotional, and I hope my listeners can hear my heart being poured out because that is exactly what I did.”

Burns also set up a Just Giving page for all proceeds and support to go to the children’s mental health charity PAPYRUS. If you want to learn more, click here

On top of her aspiring singing career, Carly Burns has traveled the world as part of renowned theater productions. These include playing the Acid Queen in ‘The Who’s Tommy’, alongside X Factor Rockstar Giovanni Spano and the role of Linda in the UK Tour of producer Bill Kenwright’s award-winning hit musical ‘Blood Brothers.’

‘Now You Fly’ is out now.
