Lulu is set to make her long-awaited return to new music with ‘I’m In Love Again’, the first single from her forthcoming 16th studio album, ‘Let The Girl Sing Out’.
The new track arrives on August 7th alongside an accompanying music video, marking the latest chapter in a career that has spanned more than six decades. The album, due for release on January 15th 2027 via The Orchard, will be Lulu’s first studio album since 2015’s ‘Making Life Rhyme’.

Recorded at London’s Metrophonic Studios, ‘I’m In Love Again’ features songwriting contributions from Mark Taylor, Paul Barry, Lulu and her brother Billy Lawrie. The song finds the Scottish pop icon reflecting on a renewed enjoyment of life, inspired in part by dancing in the vibrant nightclubs of Ibiza.
With Lulu’s powerhouse vocals front and centre, the single serves as a reminder of the enduring force of one of Britain’s most celebrated voices.
Lulu will debut ‘I’m In Love Again’ live on the main stage at BBC Radio 2 in The Park in Stirling on September 12th, performing in her native Scotland alongside a selection of her best-known hits. The track will also receive its first play on BBC Radio 2 Breakfast on August 7th.
The announcement follows a major charity performance at London’s Royal Albert Hall in June, where Lulu headlined a special one-off show in support of her Mental Health Trust. She was joined by Robbie Williams, Gary Barlow, Delta Goodrem and Boy George for a night celebrating her remarkable career and biggest hits.
Lulu has continued to maintain a prominent place in British pop culture despite the lengthy gap between studio albums. In 2025, she released her memoir If Only You Knew, which became a Sunday Times bestseller and has since been released in paperback.
With ‘Let The Girl Sing Out’ on the horizon, Lulu is proving that after more than 60 years in the spotlight, the song is far from over.
