With his emotional and empowering new EP ‘Closure’, Matt Terry authentically recounts his journey of self-discovery and self-acceptance. After facing various trials and tribulations, the former X Factor winner has picked up the pieces and is pushing forward.

‘Closure’ is a powerful showcase of Matt’s incredible talent as a singer-songwriter. The five-track collection is his most personal body of work to date and it highlights that struggles are a stepping stone to strength and growth.

Speaking ahead of the EP’s release, Matt Terry recently said: “I am SO ready to be putting out another musical project into the world. I’m extremely proud of it. More than anything it’s for myself to lay everything out on the table and close this chapter.

I feel it will allow me to let go of some heartache as well as finding some sort of peace with the industry that almost killed me. I am so frustrated with the music industry in general. I wish it could be more talent driven and I hope one day we find our way back and remember the real power of music and voices. Let’s forget about numbers to some extent, I understand they’re important, but find the balance.

So on that note artists, we can never stop and we must continue to create and tell our stories as authentically as we can, because this planet needs us. Love always wins and truth will set you free. Today I’m relieved to say when I find myself facing a mirror, I see an incredibly strong and resilient man smiling back at me. I guess that’s closure now.”

‘Closure’ is now available here on all digital platforms. As well as including two new songs, the poignant collection features Matt’s recent singles: ‘His Car’, ‘Ghost of Me’ and ‘You Don’t Know Nothing’. All five tracks feature heartfelt lyrics that will strike a chord and resonate with listeners long after the music has stopped.

2024 has been another fantastic year for Matt Terry. By opening up and wearing his heart on his sleeve, the gifted singer has reached new heights and depths with his music. He continues to prove that he’s one of the most talented vocalists and lyricists in the industry.
