Pandora has announced the expansion of their “Billionaires” artist milestone program. Currently, 8 new stations are highlighting the top artists who have achieved one billion streams or more on Pandora in genres like pop, alternative and classic rock.
This program, the first of any streaming platform to do so, recognizes this major achievement by presenting these accomplished artists with a special plaque once they hit one billion streams on the platform. Some of these artists include Bad Bunny, Ed Sheeran and The Weeknd.
Jason Aldean, the top Country artist on Pandora, said: “Pandora’s Billionaires stations are cool to be a part of because they’re the biggest songs. So, to be the most streamed Country artist is huge to me.”
Each billionaire station celebrates music from artists within specific genres who have reached one billion streams and features the top hits from these musicians. Once an artist reaches this milestone, they will be added to the playlist and featured at the beginning of the station to mark their achievement.
