Perrie continues to dominate 2024 with the release of her second solo single ‘Tears’ – a Motown influenced, smooth and sultry pop track written by multi-platinum winning producer Ido (Justin Bieber, Camilla Cabello, Shawn Mendes) and Feli Ferraro.
Serving as the follow up to her debut smash hit ‘Forget About Us’ – which crashed straight into the Official Charts Top 10 Singles Chart, topped The Official Big Top 40 from Global for two weeks, and was the No.1 UK radio airplay record for an astonishing five weeks – ‘Tears’ will feature on the singers upcoming solo album, which is expected to drop later in the year.
Commenting on the track, Perrie says via a press release: “This song is about coming out of a bad situation and letting go of what has happened in the past. It’s that point where you feel empowered, and you leave the tears behind because you’ve come out the other side. It’s a sultry and smooth track that I’m really excited for you all to hear.”

Infused with elements of rock n roll, Motown, disco, country, 80s and, pop, the eclectic collection sees Edwards team up with some of music biggest hitmakers, including RAYE, Johnny McDaid, Feli Ferraro (BTS, Normani) and Jon Bellion (Maroon 5, Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber) to produce what looks set to be a deeply personal, and profound body of work.
“Going into sessions as a solo artist now and being able to say what I want and I feel is just the most amazing experience,” a clearly invigorated Perrie says. “I never had the confidence to do that before, but this process has allowed me to believe in myself and explore all my different emotions and different parts of my life.”
